Wow, this year is already half over! Where has the time gone? We have a lot to celebrate as a chapter. One of our biggest accomplishments thus far is surpassing our Membership goal for the year. We had set out for a goal of 70 members by the end of 2018. We are currently at 73 members! A big thank you to Kevin Combs, our Membership Chair. He has done an outstanding job recruiting members, keeping them engaged and renewing. Thank you Kevin for all of your hard work, as well as everyone else who has renewed their membership and talked colleagues and friends into joining our wonderful little family.
Here is to the rest of 2018 and smashing more goals both personally and professionally. What is your goal(s) for 2018? We would love to hear them and help keep you accountable

Back to School Backpack Drive
Our back-to-school backpack drive, benefitting under-privileged students in East Palo Alto through The Ecumenical Hunger Program, is this month! We are very excited to bring this drive back again for a third year. We would love it if you could bring a new backpack filled with school supplies to our July meeting. Don't forget – any charitable donation is tax deductible!

What an incredible and heartwarming experience we had this past month. The Sheraton Palo Alto really had some amazing food and beverage for us to enjoy pool side as we mixed and mingled. The food was not only delicious, but was displayed and served with perfection!
After the initial cocktail period, we moved inside where we were greeted by Frank Price, VP or TeamBuilding Unlimited. Our tables played a friendly round of pop culture trivia and then we got to dive into stuffing stuffed animals and decorating t-shirts for them. These are not just any regular stuffed animals! These stuffed animals will be sent to little kids who need extra hugs and love right now.
How incredibly lucky and honored we felt to be able to participate in such an activity. While we always do things for our community through NACE, this one allowed us to create something with our own hands that would soon be in the hands of a child who might be alone and scared. Our hearts were so full when we left the meeting.
